A great way to teach students about basic nutrition, their health and ways to eat responsibly, delivered in a fun, open and engaging environment.
Created by Shirley Chan, a qualified dietitian with over 15 years’ experience, the Bean Around the World program uses short videos, group activities and open discussions to learn about meal planning basics, growing and uses of legumes around the world, legumes as a sustainable source of protein, as well as ideas on how to cook and store them too.
Sessions tie perfectly into cultural diversity principles, sustainability, healthy eating and guidance for making good personal health choices whilst providing students with the skills to better enable excellent health outcomes.
