Dreaming of a Green Christmas with EGTC – Vacation Care

Stage play with Elfis and Elfin

Elfis and Elvin the Christmas Elves have been sent to Australia to make preparations for Santa’s visit but things don’t necessarily go according to plan.

These cheeky elves will have you laughing and singing as they combat the difficult Australian environment and try to find an Australian animal that can help lead Santa’s sleigh.

Santa has also sent them the task of making Christmas a little bit greener, so the elves invite the audience to help with new ideas of what we can do to be more sustainable.

Facilitor Profile

EGTC began in 2004 when they developed a play looking at childhood obesity called ‘The Takeaway bellies’ and, it was set in a fictitious place called Eaton Gorge.  EGTC then began developing engaging theatre to spread environmental messages about reducing waste to landfill, good recycling habits, protecting native habitats and reducing litter.

Some of EGTC partners include Shoalhaven Water, Shellharbour Council, Northern Beaches Council, Riverina Region of Councils, Blacktown Council and Bathurst Regional Council.

EGTC also provides the Theatre in the Garden for the Australian Botanic Garden, Mt Annan and Centennial Parklands and, also work with the NSW Heritage Rail Museum at Thirlmere providing The Fat Controller and the official Storyteller

Juliet Scrine, CEO is a trained primary school teacher and, Ian McColm has been performing and writing for over 30 years.  All of EGTC acting troupe are university graduates or are currently studying acting.
