Celebrate 50 Years of Deadly this NAIDOC Week with a bush tucker experience in the wetlands of Centennial Park.
Led by Bush to Bowl, students will head out on a guided bush tucker walk to discover native plants used for food, medicine and everyday life. Along the way, they will learn how traditional seasons guide what is hunted and gathered, and how First Nations knowledge is deeply connected to Country, plants and place.
The walk finishes with a tasting of cordial made from traditional plants, with a recipe to take back to school or try at home.
This 90-minute experience introduces students to First Nations food knowledge on Gadigal and Bidjigal Country through walking, tasting and learning on Country.
