Junior First Aider Awareness

Discover a hands-on and empowering first aid experience created especially for children.

Through practical activities and real-life scenarios, children learn how to respond in an emergency and “help until help arrives.” The session blends confidence-building with essential first aid knowledge, empowering young learners in a way that’s enjoyable and easy to remember.

Each participant receives a Certificate of Participation, a bandage from the practical session, and a take-home activity bag filled with learning tools and resources.

Highlights

  • Understanding emergencies and how to call 000 or 112
  • Managing sprains, fractures, and bleeding
  • Responding to stings and bites
  • Anaphylaxis awareness and using an EpiPen
  • Asthma awareness
  • Managing burns
  • An introduction to CPR (DRSABCD) and defib demonstration

Children enjoyed the hands on activities - really engaging lessons.
Catholic Care - St John Fisher OSHC
The children gave positive feedback with the highlights being CPR and learning how to bandage. This experience was great and hands on with the children learning so any things which could possibly assist them in saving a life.
