Who knew paper could do so much?
In this Fun Day Out Workshop kids will fold, twist, build, test and create! Children will discover how ordinary paper can be transformed into clever creations using simple engineering and design techniques.
Create a caterpillar and butterfly, adding a fun environmental studies connection as kids explore these fascinating little creatures while putting their building and design skills to work.
They’ll experiment with different ideas, work out what makes their creations stronger and sturdier, and put their problem-solving skills to the test. There might be a few wobbly structures, unexpected collapses and plenty of “let’s try that again!” moments along the way — because that’s all part of being a junior engineer!
Kids will develop problem-solving, engineering and design, critical thinking, building and construction skills through fun, hands-on learning.
• Experiment with simple engineering techniques
