A full emersion of all things weather: air, wind, clouds and rain. This presentation may well encourage the kids to become storm chasers, as giant clouds are formed, vortices go spinning, hot air balloons arise and weather balloons start exploding.
Up up and away with ‘Wonderful Weather’ as children interact with cloud, fog and rain formation, create wind in a ‘wind bag’ competition, envelope themselves in range of Air pressure experiments and even make liquid air.
After this workshop kids will look just a tiny bit like they’ve been caught in a wonderful weather storm!
Highlights
- Air pressure and wind – high/low air pressure + how wind is made
- Clouds and what’s in the air – how clouds form + what’s in the air
- The water cycle – evaporation + condensation + full cycle
- States of matter and water’s special properties – how temperature changes matter + why water is amazing
