The Deadly Australians

Brisbane & Surrounds

Learn the secrets of the “Deadly Australians” that inhabit our beautiful forests and seas.

Understand the contributions they make to our ecosystem.

The “Deadly Australians” is a public awareness programme, educating Australian children about the dangers of the venomous wildlife that inhabit our suburban backyards, bush, beaches, and sea.

This programme uses both live and preserved exhibits with extensive use of visual aids.

Interesting facts, curious habits and little known ‘secrets’ will fascinate the children, making learning both fun and easy.

Highlights

  • Come face to face with the “Deadly Australians” and non-venomous reptiles
  • Incorporates indigenous themes for an interactive and educational experience that fosters cultural appreciation
  • Children will learn how to avoid bites and stings, and if bitten – how to cope with the situation
  • First Aid is demonstrated for each bite and sting situation
  • Every child and staff member receives a first aid poster to take home

*The animal list is a guide to the program only; the provider may exclude or substitute animals from the list at their discretion.

Deadly Australians was amazing yesterday!!  The kids and staff thoroughly enjoyed it.
Victoria Point OSHC
Having Marc visit our holiday program was an absolute pleasure. From the moment he walked in, the kids were completely hooked and the educators were just as invested. He didn’t just present to us. He included all of us. He made sure every question was welcomed and every person in the room felt part of the experience. We learnt so much. His knowledge runs deep, but the best part was his personal stories. They added so much heart and made the whole session feel genuine and memorable. It’s rare to meet someone who can teach, entertain, and connect on a personal level all at the same time, but Marc does exactly that. The kids are still talking about the animals and the facts they picked up. We are already planning to have him back again. Highly recommend Marc to any OSHC or school looking for a presenter who brings real passion, real knowledge, and a real connection.
