Our Colours of Kindness program focuses on the importance of being kind to all, no matter where they come from or what their story is.
Every person and every family is different, and we can show this kindness in many different ways – we can be kind with our words and with our actions, and we can show kindness to ourselves, each other, our environment and our community.
This program encourages children to reflect on the way they show kindness, and to examine what kindness means to them. Children will leave this program with a take home gift for someone they wish to share a moment of kindness with.
Highlights
- Outdoor activities – Situated in Green Park, the group will engage in activities that encourage them to understand and celebrate not only the things that connect them to each other, but the things that make them different.
- Indoor activities – Inside the Bandstand, the group will use a variety of craft materials to engage in a creative making activity to communicate with the group what imagery represents them.
- Film and Conclusion – A short film or extract from a film (Disney or Pixar G Rated only) will be shown to the students, using it as a tool to summarise everything that they have learned during their program that day.
