All living things need water to survive but how do animals, plants and people find it and use it in the heat of summer? Join us on a two-hour holiday adventure along the Parramatta River to uncover the secrets of water in the wild.
In this hands-on 2-hour holiday program, children will become a River Ranger as they:
- Head out on a water detective walk along the Parramatta River to explore who depends on water in the park – from bats, birds, fish and the tiny water critters below the surface of the water.
- Use cordage and nature’s gifts to create a natural fishing rod!
- Cool off with a fun team water game that brings science and play together.
Led by experienced nature educators, this program blends outdoor adventure, creativity and learning, inspiring kids to see water as the lifeblood of our environment.
